Service & Repair
Switched On offers full technical services including repair, maintenance, tuning, restoration, modification and custom work. Our rates are a simple 60.00 per hour for labor on any project, although we do offer flat rate prices for common upgrades and maintenance. Our specialty is with vintage keyboards and synthesizers, however we also service effects, amplifiers, tape machines and pro-audio gear.
We accept gear from all around the world, you are more than welcome to mail us your gear. Contact us for a service consultation right now!
Project estimates
By leaving your gear with us you are approving up to 1/2 hour of bench labor for diagnosis and estimate. Depending on the nature of the project, we may require approval of more than the standard time for diagnosis and estimation. After we receive your gear it will enter our work queue and await its turn to appear on the service bench. Waiting time will vary, although we try our best to have all items on the bench within 2-4 weeks. After diagnosis, we will call you with a full estimate. In some cases a project will be resolved within the approved time, in which case we'll let you know the job is complete.
Rush fee
For a $50.00 fee we will rush your project to the bench for diagnosis, which will often happen on the same day we receive it.

| Composite Video Output Allows operation with standard composite video inputs. (By default the output signal must be demodulated using a VCR or similar device.) We also increase the output brightness and saturation levels. |
60.00 |
| 1/4" Jack Upgrade & Separated Inputs Six additional 1/4" jacks are added to the top panel for patching convenience. 2 input jacks for each channel are multed together, allowing a signal to pass in and then out without use of a Y adapter. In addition, the Right input is by default connected to the left input, so that a single signal can be inserted to both channels simultaneously. Separate jacks also allow input to each channel's frequency extractor circuitry separately from the envelope generator circuitry. |
60.00 |
| 8-Channel Ramp Mixer Modifications Eight switches and pots are added to the top panel, allowing full control over the internal ramp waveform. This is a very vast modification that provides untapped potential for alternate shapes and patterns in addition to the Atari Video Music's classic diamond-shaped patterns. |
